Manuel was from Madras and was perhaps born there circa 1675. He was said to be 19 years old in 1694.¹

Slave Transactions

On 22 August 1694 Manuel van Madras and Drigo van Mozambique were sold by John Lloyd to Gerrit Basson, for Rds. 100, Cape valuation.²
