Claas was from Madagascar and was perhaps born there in 1668/69. He was said to be 24 or 25 years old in 1693.¹

Slave Transactions

On 28 December 1693 Claas van Madagascar was sold by Will Gutter to Pieter van der Poel, for Rds. 83.²
On 13 May 1694 Claas van Madagascar was sold by Pieter van der Poel to André Gauch, for Rds. 90.³
