Scipio was from the Batavia and was perhaps born there in 1679/80. He was said to be 13 or 14 years old in 1693.¹

Slave Transactions

On 6 July 1693 Scipio van Batavia was sold by Laurens Witboom to Claas Hendricksz Diepenouwe, for Rds. 36.²
