Papa was f rom the Bouton and was perhaps born there circa 1662. He was said to be 30 years old in 1692.¹

On 11 June 1692 Jacob van Cochin and Papa van Bouton were sold by Cornelis van Hulst to Guillaume Heems, for Rds. 110.²
