Slave Transactions | In 1680 Anthony was sold, perhaps by Reijnier de Groot, to Dirk Coetzee.2 On 11 April 1686 Reijnier de Groot, demanded payment from Dirk Coetzee for Anthony, whom he had purchased in 1680, but had not paid for. Coetsé promised to pay within a year, however if he failed to do so, then Anthonij would become the property of Jeronimus Cruse.2 |
