Paul was from Madagascar and perhaps born there between 1665 and 1666. He was said to be between 20 and 21 years old in 1686.^1,2

Slave Transactions

On 26 April 1686 Pieter van Madagascar, Paul van Madagascar and Harmens van Madagascar were sold by William Deeron to Claas Hendriksz, for Rds. 154.^3,2
