BirthOrigin*Sebastiaen was from Madagascar and perhaps born there circa 1668. The date is estimated based on the fact that when emancipated in 1680, he was too young to fend for himself.1 
Names in the record, in publications, etc.27 March 1680, the name of Sebastiaen was written in the record as Bastiaen.2
Slave TransactionsOn 19 March 1678 Sebastiaen van Madagascar was sold by Albert van Breugel to Dirck Adam Culingh, for Rds. 24.3,4
Slave EmancipationsSebastiaen van Madagascar was emancipated by Adam Quhling, on 27 March 1680. He was given into the care of Henrik Crudop and a condition of the manumission was that the latter care for him until he was old enought to fend for himself.2
