Jacob was from and perhaps born there circa 1660. I have estimated his age based on the amount paid when he was sold as a slave in 1676.¹

On 11 March 1676 Jacob van Colombo was sold by Cornelis Kriek to Dirck Jansz Smient, for Rds 85.^2,3
