BirthOrigin* | Anthoni was from Malabar Coast and perhaps born there circa 1660. Given the price paid for two male slaves, I think they may have been young - perhaps mid-teens.1 |
Slave Transactions | Abraham van der Kust Malabar and Anthoni van der Kust Malabar were sold by Jan Andriessen, to Jan Valckenrijck on 21 April 1675, for Rds. 90.2,3 On 15 June 1680 Anthoni van der Kust Malabar was sold by an unknown person to Hans Melchior Hoffman, for Rds. 30. I assume this to be the same slave purchased by her (now deceased) husband in 1675.4 |
