Slave Transactions | On 12 March 1661 Joris van Cochin was sold by Dirck de Knibber to Roeloff de Man, De Knibber was enroute to Patria, and Joris van Cochin was clearly his personal slave whom he would buy back a year later.2,5 On 24 June 1662 Joris van Cochin was sold by Roeloff de Man to Dirck de Knibber, De Knibber was returning to the East from a year's break in Patria and wanted his personal slave back.6,4 |
