Slave Transactions | On 4 March 1687 Theange van Madagascar was sold by Sibrand de Fraij to Jan Dircks de Beer, for Rds. 40.2 On 6 March 1687 Isaak van Madagascar and Paul van Madagascar were sold by Sibrand de Fraij to Jan Dircks de Beer, for Rds. 85. De Faij subsequently disputed this transaction, saying he had only sold a second slave to De Beer, in addition to the sale of Theange van Madagascar recorded two days prior.3 |
