BirthOrigin*Hannibal was from Bengal and was perhaps born there circa 1662. 'Van Bengale' or from Bengal was a term loosely applied during the period of VOC dominance to enslaved or formerly enslaved people from any of the countries bordering the Bay of Bengal.2 
Slave TransactionsOn 14 May 1687 Hannibal van Bengale was sold by Wilhelm Kemp to Dominique de Chavonnes, for Rds. 40.3
On 10 May 1689 Hannibal van Bengale was sold by Dominique de Chavonnes to Henning Hüsing, for Rds. 100.4
