Occupation* On 24 April 1688 Vincent Paets was was Rear-Admiral of the return fleet and sailing on the Sion. He had previously been ambassador to the Emperor of China and a member of the Council of Justive in Batavia.3 
Slave TransactionsOn 24 April 1688 Aron van der Kust Coromandel was sold by Vincent Paets to Jan Wessels, for Rds. 65 on condition that Aron would not be taken to Batavia. If Wessels wished he could sell Aron to Wouter Valckenier at the same price.4
Slave EmancipationsOn 26 April 1688 Small d'Akosa was emancipated by Vincent Paets. He had inherited Small from the estate of Adam van Lok.5
