Sapatou was from Madagascar and was perhaps born there in 1671/72. He was said to be 17 to 19 years old in 1690.²

On 8 February 1690 Sapatou was incorrectly named in the record as (an unknown value.)^1,2

On 8 February 1690 Sapatou van Madagascar was sold by William Deeron to Dain Majampa Singara, for Rds. 66.³
