(Witness) Abjuration On 23 October 1685, at La Motte d'Aigues, Provence, France, following the revocation of the Edict of Nantes, Daniel Roux, Magdalene Jourdan, and their daughters Jeanne Rousse and Marie Rousse abjured their Protestant faith.3
