He married Jannetje van Royen, daughter of Cornelis van Rooyen and Jacomina Gerritsz van Deventer, on 8 October 1747 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Drakenstein, de Caep de Goede Hoop. The marriage was performed by Ds. Salomon van Echten.²
