He married Ariaantie Bronkhorst, daughter of Johann Bronkhorst and Geertruy Boshouwer, on 26 November 1741 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Drakenstein, de Caep de Goede Hoop. The marriage was performed by Ds. Salomon van Echten.¹
