BaptismHendrik van de Caep was baptized on 1 June 1704 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town). The baptism was witnessed by Jacob Kloet and Laurentia Cornelissen.3,2 
Slave BirthsBefore 1 June 1704, Hendrik van de Caep was born in bondage and was owned by Francois van der Stel de Caep de Goede Hoop.2
