BirthOrigin*Susanna was from Madagascar and may have been born there circa 1680. The date is estimated. She appears to have given birth for the first time in 1698.1 
BaptismSusanna van Madagascar was baptized on 20 November 1695 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop.1

Slaves Owned by the CompanyOn 20 November 1695 Susanna van Madagascar was enslaved and owned by the VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie) at the Cape.2
On 4 January 1699 Susanna van Madagascar and Michiel van de Caep van Susanna were enslaved and owned by the VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie) at the Cape. Described as heelslag, a racial tag meaning both parents were African.
