BirthOrigin*Susanna was from Madagascar and may have been born there circa 1680. The date is estimated. She appears to have given birth for the first time in 1698.1

On 4 January 1699 Susanna van Madagascar and Michiel van de Caep van Susanna were enslaved and owned by the VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie) at the Cape. Described as heelslag, a racial tag meaning both parents were African.
